The Tragic Night (Still working on a title want to ask group)

The story starts off on a on a cold, dreary, rainy Monday morning at David’s old-fashioned house and he lives in a small, remote town where everyone knows each other. In his free time he is always reading books about serial killers and horrific, suspense books and he is a very shy, timid boy. Beep! Beep! Beep! The deafening sound of David’s alarm clock going off at 6:30 a.m.to get up and shower before school. He gets up and showers and puts on jeans and a black polo shirt. David goes downstairs around 7:10 to eat some lucky charms before walking to school. He finishes up eating his breakfast and then starts walking to school around 7:30 and meets up with his friends along the way. While walking to school he heard some older teens talking about how there is a guy who escaped from jail who is a murder and he was instantly freighted. David finally made it to school and went to the middle school side because his school has the High school and middle school connected just separate buildings entrances. David first goes to his filthy locker and get his books for his class and sees a couple of his friends and chats with them telling them the EERIE news he heard. None of his friends believe it and the bell rings at 8:00 and then he has five minutes to get to class and he swiftly makes it just in time. All David can think about the horrific story he heard on his way to school because tonight his parents were going to be gone and he would be by himself. He didn’t pay attention in any class not just because of the freighting news he was normally a slacker in school though. Finally it was lunch time and then only one more class. The bell rang at 3:10 and he sluggishly walked home with some friends and ate a snack once he was home. After eating his snack he worked on homework and his parents left around 8:30 and wouldn’t be home until 4 A.M. Soon after David’s parents left he quickly took a shower and went to lay in bed even though he felt like someone was watching the house. He called his girlfriend who is blue-eyed, hot, and has a swim-suit model body to see if she could come over. She didn’t pick up the phone and he kept tossing and turning in bed. All of the sudden around 2:30 A.M. he heard the front door open and then slamming shut. Then he heard a mysterious, moaning voice saying “David where are you?” and was instantly frozen in bed. He tip-toed silently and went to go hide in his closet, and after he shut the closet door he sat there motionless. He could hear the door to his room open and then heard someone stomp their feet near the closet he was in. David was as quiet as a mouse in the closet, but his closet door slowly opened. There was a tall, dark, homely guy with a bloody butcher knife in his hand. Then the man said in a whispering voice “Hello David tonight is your night.” David sat there wide-eyed looking at the knife as it came towards his violently shaking body and into his chest; all that could be heard was an ear deafening scream throughout the neighborhood. Then David took one long, gasp of air and was dead.

Character Obit

David “Jason” Murdean

David Murdean died in Cave Spring, Georgia on May 15th, 2000 after being stabbed with a butcher knife because an escaped convict broke into his house while he was home alone. It was obvious that he had died because of the stab wound, but the body was taken into investigation to try and find finger prints or evidence.

David was born on August 5th, 1986 in Yemassee, South Carolina. He was an only child and sometimes worked at McDonald’s during the week cleaning up tables and trays. He always had great attendance in school and had decent grades. He received many awards for attendance and made the A & B honor roll numerous times. Every summer he would enjoy going to an adventure camp where he spent a week there doing many outdoor activities. He sometimes would volunteer on the weekends at the Salvation Army. He was a quiet boy and did not have a close relationship with his parents, but did have a couple close friends he would hang out with. He died at such a young age, but will always be remembered for his caring for others, and generosity.

David is survived by his parents, Cruella and Casper Murdean and the dog named Bones. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his one aunt named Brunhilda Spook.

There will be a public calling at the Freddy Murder Chapel this Thursday at 9:00 a.m. followed immediately with a private funeral ceremony at the Ghostly Memory Hills. Memorial contributions can be made to the Camp Adventure Kids in Cave Spring, Georgia.

Candy Canes 12-9-09

It is close to christmas time and I think of Christmas Trees and candy canes. It is in the shape of a cane and is normally white with red stripes. It comes in many flavors but traditionally it is peppermint or cinnamon. The candy cand is normally always around Christmas holiday in the Western world, but you can find them year round. The candy cane first started as a stick of sugar that children enjoyed eatting. They are not sure where the shape of the cane started but it first started in the mid-17th century but possibly earlier during that time it was popular across Europe. The making of candy canes was very time consuming at first because they had to be made by hand. The person that is known for the reason of the cane shape is the choir master at Cologne Cathedral in Germany in 1670. The first time candy canes were in North America for Christmas was in 1847. The stripes were not on the candy cane until the 20th century.

11-19-09 The Biggest Loser

I have always really liked working out and fitness so I had always liked The Biggest Loser TV show on NBC. It is a show about very overweight people who compete to be the Biggest Loser of weight loss and whoever looses the most weight wins a prize of money. I found on the internet that there are many different variations of the same show worldwide but they all have the same goal of losing the most weight. The first season of The Biggest Loser started on October 19th 2004 and has been going on its 8th season now. I think this show is so popular because of how horrible the obesity rate is in Americans especially kids. The obesity rates of adults have doubled from 15 to 30 percent since 1980’s. Another interesting fact is that the costs of health care are more than one-quarter of the expenses which are because of obesity. According to the surgeongeral.gov stated that “Nearly two out of every three Americans are overweight or obese.” Also the surgeongeneral.gov website started that since the 1960’s the obesity rate in kids has tripled to 15 percent and that “nearly three out of every four overweight teenagers may become overweight adults.” I sad thing about all of these horrible facts is that the rate is just going to keep increasing. I think the big problem with kids these days is all they want to do is play with video games and on the computer instead of going to play outside. I think The Biggest Loser show is a great idea and think they should have a show for little kids. I remember a few years ago there was a show with Shaq and he had overweight kids working out and showing them the correct foods to eat. I think The Biggest Loser show will never get old because there are always going to be many overweight people.
